There once was a fable oh so long ago, a legend and ever so much more than that. The legend in her selves name was Panilethia, she was the sad goddess of nature, the melancholy, yet some how so dangerous.
Soft laughter slowly began to fill the empty woods. The pale white shadow danced through the trees causing, but a slight disturbance in the blowing leaving. The dark emerald wood sparkled with leaves shuffling in the wind and shining in the moon light. The shadow made it way to small clearing. Its shadowy form dissipated as a young women appeared in its place. She smiled and an ancient soul showed through her innocent eyes. As she danced through the falling leaves more shadows came into the clearing and took form. All young boys and girls with ghostly paleness about them. There eerie laughter filled the treeless area and the children danced around each other in circles. There was something more to the dance that had met the eye, something inexplicable about the sporadic dance made the dawning sky bleed back into darkness. The children slowly started to dance back into the trees and their shadowy forms emerged once again. Although the shadow disappeared and left the girl behind there song remained in her heart and she continued to dance alone through the wood.
It all began thousand of years ago on an amazing palace island of green forest off of the coast of Greece. The small community was a happy one with joyous celebrations t commemorate the Olympian gods. Festivals were held yearly specifically for there representative god, Pan. These people were close with there gods, and though they were strict but kind. They allowed many bad things to happen on there Island. For centuries they were not able to produce children. They were plagued and all of the children where sacrificed, and wondered to ghostly planes, confused and alone. They died for the goddess Hera, she curse the people of the Island all because of one woman that was seduced by Zeus from that point that point she wouldn’t bless them with children, so soon they people became old and started to die. Aphrodite who always was mischievous and rebellious, decided to seduce Pan, the union between these two created Panilethia. The people rejoiced and the spell was broken. Panilethia grew into a shy young women, but easily angered and most powerful. When she was angered she would strike people down with thorned vines that she called out of the earth. They would wrap around her victim’s and pull them into the dirt, suffocating them. When she was calm the flowers and plants would grown in her every waking foot step. In her home the blackest roses would grow on vines. Soon beautiful creatures like peacocks, came to her and lived around her home. They loved the goddess and even wolves would come into her home and she would feed them right out of her hand. They protected her and she in turn vowed to protect all of natures beauty. From then on she danced with the wolves in the moon light, and sang the songs of her brothers and sisters.
Sometimes even in the night she would walk through the garden. Black roses
